Declamation Resource Page

Welcome to the Student Declamation Resource Page!  This page is to help students as they complete their research for the 2013 Gallatin County Declamation Contest!

Q:What is a Declamation?  What are the requirements?

A: A declamation is a "speech filled with emotion."  All students will be required to research this year's topic and execute each phase of the research process to produce a typed paper that answers this question: What is the most important event to occur in the history of the United States?

Q: What is the contest, and are all students required to enter?

The declamation contest consists of both written and oral competitions, which are optional to enter.  However, all students will be required to complete the research paper for a social studies and language arts grade.  Students interested in competing should meet with Ms. Nora and Ms. Knaub at 12:00 on Tuesday, February 26th in the 6th grade room!
