SUMMER SCHOOL WILDCAT WORKSHOPS 2013

          Don’t miss the summer school program of 2013!!  The Monforton School Summer Program is designed for students who will benefit from continuing a structured reading program and/or problem solving and increasing mental math skills.  Continuation of these programs during the summer will increase ability while maintaining skills already learned throughout the school year.  Wildcat Workshops are exclusive to students enrolled in Monforton School or registered to enter Kindergarten at Monforton in the Fall 2013 and are a great way to have fun with friends while learning new things. 

Our summer program lasts 4 weeks, beginning June 10^th and ending July 3^rd.  The students will meet Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  Classes will be taught until 11:30, with lunch and recess from 11:30-12:00.  Bus transportation will be offered for students in the district (the route typically begins at 7:30 and arrives at the school at 8:30).  Wildcat Workshops will not have a lunch program, students should pack sack lunch if they want to eat at the school.

This program is a collaborative effort between Monforton School and the Greater Gallatin United Way. *Our summer school fee is $75 per student.  This small fee will help cover bus transportation, supplies, staffing, and other costs for the program. Free and reduced tuition assistance is available to those who qualify for free/reduced lunches.  If you are not sure if you qualify an application is available in the front office. Scholarships are also available by contacting Mrs. Flack.

            We ask for a high level of commitment for daily attendance because our programs are highly structured and matched to the skill level of each child.  We understand that it is summer with vacations and things come up, but your child’s attendance is important to them and to the program as a whole.  The Summer Program is fun, exciting, and a productive way for your child to spend the summer.

Registration forms are due no later than Monday, April 29^th, 2013.  Students must be signed up by this date so we can plan for the appropriate number of teachers, assign students to appropriate groups and organize the bus route.
